PICOe-9452 Half-size CPU Card Step 3: Insert the cable connectors. Once the cable connectors are properly aligned with the USB connectors on the PICOe-9452, connect the cable connectors to the onboard connectors. See Figure 5-23. Figure 5-23: Dual USB Cable Connection Step 4: Attach the bracket to the chassis. The USB 2.0 connectors are attached to a bracket. PICOe-9452 Half-size CPU Card Page 107 5.7 External Peripheral Interface Connection The following external peripheral devices can be connected to the external peripheral interface connectors. • RJ-45 Ethernet cable connectors • S-video display device • USB device • VGA monitor To install these devices, connect the corresponding cable connector from the actual device to the corresponding PICOe-9452 external peripheral interface connector making sure the pins are properly aligned. 5.7.1 LAN Connection (Single Connector) There are two external RJ-45 LAN connectors. The RJ-45 connectors enable connection to an external network. To connect a LAN cable with an RJ-45 connector, please follow the instructions below. Step 1: Locate the RJ-45 connectors. The locations of the USB connectors are shown in Chapter 4. Step 2: Align the connectors. Align the RJ-45 connector on the LAN cable with one of the RJ-45 connectors on the PICOe-9452. See Figure 5-24.
