The complexity and the promise of a technology and service-neutral future Mr Pike: If I could just respond to that, I think we already have a case in UWB that does not fit into your model of the Rubik’s cube. That is designed to co-exist but there might be things in the future – you are talking about parameters as a closed set and that is a difficulty with it. As long as you rely on a closed set, anything that does not fit in that closed set is precluded in the future. Linda Doyle: I had not intended the parameters to sound like a closed set, and this is the point that is very difficult in everything. It is hard to discuss things without thinking in terms of the technology we currently understand. Some of the problems we have had in the past have been on that exact basis. I would end by saying that this is something that I and others, if we go down this route, have to make sure that we do not do. It is a good point to be wary of.
