APPENDIX B: REQUESTING AD HOC REPORTS The Government has the ability to request ad hoc queries for one-time, data-reporting needs. Ad hoc reports are developed when existing DTS reports cannot retrieve the required information. Ad hoc reports, which are typically more complex and require additional analysis and programming are not intended to replace standard monthly reports. Instructions for requesting ad hoc reports through the DTS Travel Assistance Center (TAC) and a sample (blank) request: 1. Initiate the request by completing the DTS Report Request Form (Figure B-1) located at https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/Docs/DTS_Report_Request_Form.pdf. Refer to page 2 of the report request form for instructions on how to complete the form. 2. Log in to the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) Passport at https:// www.defensetravel.dod.mil/passport/bin/Passport.html. Select Help Tickets and complete the required field. (Note: The subject line of the ticket must reflect DTS Administration (DTA)>Reports>Ad Hoc Report Request). Attach the DTS Report Request Form and select Create Ticket. When the screen refreshes, select Finish Submitting Ticket to send the request to the TAC. The TAC sends all ad hoc report request tickets and related forms to the DTMO. The DTMO Service/ Agency Liaison Team (SALT) audits the DTS Report Request Form for accuracy and completeness. The DTMO SALT sends the DTS Report Request Form to the applicable Service/Agency DTS office for approval. If approval is granted, DTS Operations will generate the requested information and send it to the requestor via e-mail..
