Who is are you:
I was born 23years to a Ugandan mum
and a Rwandan dad. My parents named
me NKUSI ARTHUR my friends gave me
several alias that go I go by depending on
where I am or what am doing. The aliases
included: a.k.a.s KAROKARO a.k.a RUTURA
a.k.a DIASPORA .
Growing up:
Most of my younger years were spent
in Uganda, however we later moved to
Rwanda in 1997. Seeing as my mum is
from Uganda and my father is Rwandese
I guess that make me half cast right? NO?
hahaha.
Introduction to the entertainment:
My father Mazimpaka Jones Kennedy who
is an actor and a performer too, introduced
me to a woman who would change my
life completely. She molded me and made
me the person I am today her name is
HOPE AZEDA artistic director of Mashirika
performing Arts group and Media
Company. She gave me the opportunity
to perform with this gifted group of
performers and from there the sky was the
limit.
Performances:
I joined Mashirika where I started acting
dancing and singing and developing my
God given talent and explored my passion
in performance arts. With Mashirika, I
have been part of several performances
in Rwanda and around the world. In
2004 I was part of a mega performance
that toured several European countries.
In 2005 we also toured Scotland for G8
SUMMIT. In 2006 and 2008 we toured
the UK where we were performing a very
powerful played dubbed Africa’s hope. We
also toured USA in 2012 for Rwanda day
performance.
Sky is the limit:
Through the exposure and experience
I had gotten over the years, in 2010 I
formed my own group that does comedy
called COMEDY KNIGHTS. My team and
I developed the art of COMEDY that
we performed in Rwanda, Uganda and
Burundi. This year we plan on taking it to
Kenya.
Because of he various things am involved
in or I do, some people know me as a
comedian others as an actor others as a
dancer. I am also a radio comedian and
presenter at K FM and also MC in various
events around the country.
Why Entertainment genre:
As I mentioned earlier, my first contact with
entertainment was with my father who is
not only a mentor but also my motivator.
His love for the arts trickled down on me. I
believe it is through him that I developed a
passion for it. Needless to say, it’s a family
thing.
Most memorable stage moments:
When I performed the first time in the
Amahoro stadium, it was actually my first
day on stage infront of 30,000 people
Most embarrassing moment on stage:
When I forgot my line on stage and I had
to improvise that was during the 2008 tour
in UK…I really felt it, but as an actor you
cannot show the audience that you made
a mistake, you play along and hope that
the rest of the cast members will move
with the flow until you gain back your
momentum.
It’s hilarious because only you the cast
member know the blunder that has just
occurred. At this point team work is very
important. Then as team you laugh about
it later when recapping the whole show.
Do tell more:
A part from theatre and my radio job,
I am also a student at Mount Kenya
University persuing a bachelor’s degree
in communication and mass media
am also a business man and do event
management. Basically I choose not to limit
myself. I seize opportunities when they
present themselves or are presented to
me. Did I also mention that I am an MTN
ambassador which I love?
Strongest attribute:
I am a social guy and I use it to study
people and make my comedy skit also
helps me to live with others. I love being
around people. Am on guy who cannot
survive when left alone in an island.
Weakness:
I am not good at saying NO. Sad huh?
What annoys you or ticks you off:
Its very simple, do be rude to me, do
not be verbally abusive or aggressive to
me. Talk to me am right here.. no need
for shouting or any form of aggression
because am sure I know any problem
you may have with me can be solved in a
diplomatic manner.
What brings you joy and happiness:
LOVE. I SIMPLY LOVE, LOVE!
Role model:
An American comedian called Kevin hart… i
love his work. He has the craziest and most
hilarious comedy scripts ever.
Inspiration:
LIFE inspires me. I always want to be
one step ahead of it…MY MUM USED TO
TELL ME IF YOU DON’T WORK…LIFE WILL
TEACH YOU HOW TO WORK!!!!!
Fashion Style:
I love wearing CHECKED SHIRTS jeans and
converse shoes, that’s why people call me
KAROKARO
Predict the Future:
I see myself as icon of comedy in
RWANDA…..just like David Beckham is an
icon of football
Last words:
I want to wish all a merry Christmas and a

and live.
