For Spring 2008, Mion addresses the

alike. Developed in conjunction with
the U.S. National Whitewater
Center, the Floodgate
Sandal
uses a patent-pending,
360-degree,
one-time adjustable
webbing upper made from 50 percent
recycled PET with a quick release buckle. It
also offers a protective toe, sand and water
drainage ports, and its Round 2 Rubber outsole
contains 15 percent recycled rubber. A
new footbed made from Round 2 EVA (R2E)
contains 20 percent recycled EVA and molds
to the foot after about 12 hours of wear, the

Mountainsmith is set to
introduce 35 styles of packs
bags, and luggage constructed
of recycled PET, a
fabric woven from
threads produced
from 100 percent
recycled plastic beverage
bottles. With the 35
models, Mountainsmith projects it will save
more than 4 million bottles from landfills.
Included in the recycled lineup are 19 backpacks
and daypacks, four travel trunks, seven
lumbar packs, four camera bags, and the
new 4211ci Phoenix alpine pack for oversized
