Sand Monitoring • Each well contains one acoustic (Clamp-On) and one erosive (Cormon) sand sensor at the well head downstream the choke. They are located on the choke module which is ROV retrievable. • One acoustic sand sensor (Roxar) is located on each of the 6 flowlines topside. • A sand trap is located on the line from the test manifold for sampling • The whole production system is designed to tolerate 0.25 g/s with sand from each well throughout field life. • Statoil has designed a computer program/database specifically for sand monitoring .
