<strong>Practical</strong> - Wudhu 7<br />
Note: There is a difference between gargling<br />
<strong>and</strong> rinsing. Gargling is sunnah i.e. <strong>to</strong> gargle in<br />
such a way that the water reaches the <strong>to</strong>p part<br />
of the throat. The fasting person should take<br />
care that no water goes down the throat.<br />
8. Put water in<strong>to</strong> the nose with the right h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
clean the nose with the little finger of the left<br />
h<strong>and</strong>.<br />
9. Blow the nose using the left h<strong>and</strong>.<br />
10. Wash the face from the hairline <strong>to</strong> below the<br />
chin <strong>and</strong> from one earlobe <strong>to</strong> the other, thrice.<br />
11. Make khilāl of the beard not more than thrice.<br />
The manner of making khilāl of the beard is <strong>to</strong><br />
take a h<strong>and</strong>ful of water in the right h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />
pass it through the beard starting from the side<br />
of the throat <strong>and</strong> coming up <strong>to</strong> the chin.<br />
12. Wash the right forearm including the elbow<br />
thrice.<br />
13. Wash the left forearm including the elbow<br />
thrice.<br />
Note: Begin washing the h<strong>and</strong>s from the fingers<br />
coming down <strong>to</strong> the elbows.<br />
14. Make khilāl of the fingers after washing the<br />
h<strong>and</strong>s. The method of making khilāl is <strong>to</strong><br />
interlace the fingers of the left h<strong>and</strong> in<strong>to</strong> the<br />
right h<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> vice versa.
