(followers) should also raise their hands and say
the takbeer softly.
7. Tie the hands below the navel as normally done.
8. Thereafter recite the thanaa of Janaza Salaah
softly,
سبحانك الل ّهم وب ِحمدك وتبارك ا سمك وتعالى جدك
غ َيرك
وجل َّ ث َناؤك ولا َ اله
The Imaam will then say the takbeer aloud and
the Muqtadees softly for the second time. The
hands should not be raised when saying this
takbeer.
9. After the second takbeer recite Durood e
Ibraheem.
10. Thereafter the third takbeer should be said in
the same manner as mentioned above.
11. After the third takbeer the following duas
should be recited:
a) If the deceased is an adult (male or female)
recite:
ا َلل ّهم اغ ْفر لحي ِّنا َ ومي ِّتنا وشاهدنا وغ َائب ِنا وصغير ِنا وك َب ِير ِنا وذ َك َر ِنا وا ُنث َانا ا َلل ّهم من
ا َحييته منا ف َا َحي ِه عل َى ا ْلاسلا َم ِ ومن توف َّيته منا ف َتوف َّه عل َى ا ْلايمان
b) If the deceased is a minor male recite:
ا َلل ّهم اجعل ْه ل َنا ف َرطا ً واجعل ْه ل َنا ا َجرا و ذ ُخرا واجعل ْه ل َنا شافعا و مشف َّعا
