<strong>Practical</strong> – Sajdat-us-Sahw 39<br />
Sajdat-us-Sahw<br />
Definition: Sajdat-us-Sahw: are two sajdahs made<br />
when one makes a mistake in salaah.<br />
Sajdat-us-Sahw becomes Waajib due <strong>to</strong> the<br />
following:<br />
1. The omission of any Waajib of salaah.<br />
2. The delay of any Waajib of salaah.<br />
3. The delay of any fardh of salaah.<br />
4. The performance of any fardh act of salaah<br />
before its prescribed time.<br />
5. The repetition of any fardh, (e.g. Performing two<br />
rukus).<br />
6. The changing of the manner <strong>and</strong> method of any<br />
Waajib e.g. Reciting qiraat before surah Fatiha.<br />
The method of Sajdat-us-Sahw:<br />
In the last sitting (Qa’dah Akhirah) after reciting<br />
Tashahhud:<br />
1. Make one salaam <strong>to</strong> the right side only.<br />
2. Then make two sajdahs.<br />
3. Thereafter recite Tashahhud.<br />
4. Recite Durood Ibrahim.<br />
5. Recite the dua after durood.<br />
6. Make Salaam on both sides.
