Fado, the beautiful traditional music of Portugal, is the music of sorrow and
revival is Mariza (above right), a stunning, internationally acclaimed singer
of Portuguese-Mozambican descent. Riveting performances, interviews and
archival footage combine to tell the evocative story of fado.
and they’re doing it in a very modern – and very aboriginal – way.
