Admission Committee. At the first meeting <strong>of</strong> the council<br />
following receipt by the grand knight <strong>of</strong> the report<br />
and recommendations <strong>of</strong> the admission committee, or<br />
upon expiration <strong>of</strong> ten days following delivery <strong>of</strong> the<br />
application to the chairman <strong>of</strong> the admission committee,<br />
if there is no report from the Admission Committee<br />
with respect to the application, the grand knight shall<br />
proceed with reading the application. Except when<br />
notice <strong>of</strong> application shall be published as provided in<br />
Section 110, the council shall proceed forthwith (at the<br />
same meeting) to ballot for the admission <strong>of</strong> such<br />
applicant after said reading. Prior to balloting after the<br />
first and only reading, the warden shall determine and<br />
report to the grand knight and the deputy grand knight<br />
the number <strong>of</strong> members present, and the recorder shall<br />
record in the minutes <strong>of</strong> the meeting the report <strong>of</strong> the<br />
warden.<br />
5. The grand knight cannot delay the processing <strong>of</strong> the<br />
application under any circumstances, unless the application<br />
is rejected because the applicant is not a practical<br />
Catholic as shall be determined by at least five<br />
members <strong>of</strong> the committee, he shall read the application<br />
at the first meeting following the ten days allowed<br />
for the report <strong>of</strong> the Admission Committee. This reading<br />
is not restricted to a regular meeting or a business<br />
meeting.<br />
6. Balloting shall be by distribution to the members present<br />
<strong>of</strong> a blank slip <strong>of</strong> paper and each member shall<br />
write thereon either the word “yes’’ or “no’’ and nothing<br />
more.<br />
7. Balloting for candidates shall be the responsibility <strong>of</strong><br />
the warden. After exhibiting the ballot box to the grand<br />
knight and deputy grand knight, the warden shall<br />
deposit the same on the salutation table and take his<br />
place six feet therefrom. He shall then request that all<br />
the <strong>of</strong>ficers vote by depositing their ballots in the ballot
