General Information (in alphabetical order)
All accepted abstracts as well as abstracts of
invited speakers (where available) have been
published in the Abstract Book, which is a
supplement to the journal Clinical Microbiology
and Infection (CMI), the official journal of
ESCMID. You will find a copy in your congress
bag.
Badges
Access to all scientific events and to the
exhibits is only possible with your personal
badge, which you will receive upon
registration. All participants are requested
to wear their name badge throughout the
congress. € 30 will be charged for replacement
of a lost badge. From May 1–4, all participants
will be able to use the Prague metro free of
charge by showing their congress badge.
Cloakroom / Left Luggage
A cloakroom is available on the ground floor
next to registration area to keep your coats
and bags.
CME Credits
The European Society of Clinical Microbiology
and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) is seeking
accreditation by the European Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education
(EACCME) to provide CME credits for medical
specialists. The EACCME is an institution of
the European Union of Medical Specialists
(UEMS, www.uems.be). EACCME credits are
recognised as Physician’s Recognition Award
by the American Medical Association.
A form for claiming CME credits will be inserted
in your congress bag.
Currency
All official congress prices are indicated in
Euro (€). The official currency in the Czech
Republic, however, is the Czech Crown (Kc).
All major credit cards are accepted in most
hotels, restaurants and shops.
Electricity
The electrical power supply in the Czech
Republic is 220 volts.

ESCMID booth
During the congress, ESCMID staff will be
happy to answer your questions at the
ESCMID booth and help you with any
matters concerning the Society. The ESCMID
booth is located in the exhibition area on the
1 st floor.
European Network Corner
Right next to the ESCMID booth, you will find
the European Network Corner. The 12 ESCMID
Study Groups and EUCAST, as well as related
organisations like EARSS and ESAC will be
present with a poster and staff to inform
about their activities. Learn about and discuss
the various activities of the Society and meet
members of the Executive.
Exhibition
During the congress an industrial exhibition
will be arranged. Companies from all over
the world will be given ample opportunity
to display their latest products, services and
technical innovations. The exhibition will be
located in the foyers of the Prague Congress
Centre (PCC) on the first, second and third
floor, in close proximity to all the lecture halls,
catering and poster areas.
