Hradčany and Prague Castle
Enjoy some magnificent views of Prague
as the castle area is situated well above the
city centre. Bohemian history will attract you
on each corner. You will visit the Strahov
Monastery, Loretta, Golden Lane and finally
Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral. Prague
castle was established in the 9 th century.
In the 14 th century, under the reign of
Charles IV, it was rebuilt in the gothic style.
The final reconstruction of the Royal Palace
took place under the Jagellons at the end of
the 15 th century. The castle was enlarged
in the 16 th century, especially after a big fire
in 1541. Our tour will end at Prague castle
gardens.

Karlsˇtejn Castle
This is one of the most outstanding medieval
castles in existence and was established by
King Charles IV 650 years ago, as the place
where the crown jewels and state documents
would be kept. The castle lies 40 km west of
Prague.

Jewish Town
During this trip you’ll be given information
about the Jewish history of Prague which can
be traced back to the middle of the 10 th century.
We’ll take you to the famous Jewish quarter
where you’ll see the cemetery from the 15 th
century, some of the six synagogues (the
ancient Old-New Synagogue, the oldest in
Europe; the Pinkas Synagogue; and the
Ceremonial Hall with its collection of
children’s art from the Terezín concentration
camp) and the house of F. Kafka.
