Catching <strong>the</strong> cold<br />

THE ROYAL NORWEGIAN EMBASSY<br />

A collaboration between Norwegian and<br />

Zimbabwean dance <strong>the</strong>atre artists<br />

A live performance work created through<br />

collaboration between choreographer/dancers<br />

and musicians. The dramaturgie <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> piece<br />

is built with sound, light, movement phrases<br />

and text, inspired by <strong>the</strong> changes <strong>of</strong> wea<strong>the</strong>r,<br />

temperature, atmosp<strong>here</strong> and drama in <strong>the</strong><br />

nor<strong>the</strong>rnmost city in <strong>the</strong> world, Hammerfest,<br />

and in <strong>Harare</strong>.<br />

Acrobats will perform at HIFA in 2013.<br />

The show will be full <strong>of</strong> gymnastic and body bending marvels, with dancing, balancing, visual<br />

dynamics and illusions from a magician. This art is world famous and <strong>the</strong> original troupe,<br />

direct from China, will amaze, inspire and delight audiences. T<strong>here</strong> are two shows only at <strong>the</strong><br />

beginning <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Festival</strong>, so be sure to book your tickets early.<br />

Presented by <strong>the</strong> Embassy <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Republic <strong>of</strong> Korea, this<br />

spectacular Hip-Hop dance performance comes back to<br />

HIFA. Following <strong>the</strong> success <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>ir predecessors, Last<br />

For One, in 2009, <strong>the</strong> Korean Breakers promise a show<br />

packed with body defying movement, highly entertaining<br />

characters and hot, hot Korean and o<strong>the</strong>r pop music. This<br />

troupe will include a few pieces <strong>of</strong> contemporary dance<br />

and music. The 2009 show was one <strong>of</strong> HIFA’s fastest selling<br />

shows ever – don’t miss your chance this year!<br />

ownership <strong>of</strong> space by a society. Through<br />

dynamic movement, <strong>the</strong> dancers embody<br />

our natural need for control - a human<br />

instinct that in turn provides us with ei<strong>the</strong>r<br />

power, a sense <strong>of</strong> ownership and a comfort<br />

<strong>of</strong> belonging or a feeling <strong>of</strong> rejection,<br />

loneliness and displacement.<br />
