Somerston Vineyards and Winery Opens Estate Tasting Room
JEFFERSON ST
Visitors may enjoy Somerston estate wines
paired with cheese and charcuterie on the
tasting room terrace of its 1,682-acre estate
in the eastern hills of Napa Valley
Somerston, a bucolic viticultural nirvana
located high in the eastern hills of Napa Valley
at 3450 Sage Canyon Road, opened its winery
tasting room on Saturday, June 25. Home to
over 200 acres of vineyards with elevations
ranging from 800 to 1200 feet, Somerston has
87 distinct growing blocks, five soil types,
over 15 varietals planted, multiple natural
water sources, and has long been a fruit source
for some of Napa’s most renowned producers.
The opening of the Somerston Estate, tasting
room and energy-efficient winery is the culmination
of the long-term vision of winemaker
and partner Craig Becker and proprietor Allan
Chapman. The opening also represents the
public debut of the Somerston Estate wines,
which include Sauvignon Blanc ($40), Proprietary
Red Blend ($90) and Cabernet Sauvignon
($120), available exclusively for tastings
and purchase at Somerston tasting rooms.
“Our property is the inspiration behind everything
Somerston represents,” says Becker. “It
offers a fresh look at the Napa Valley that is
utterly authentic. We look forward to sharing
the magic of the property and our wines with
wine enthusiasts.”
The Somerston Off-Road Experience offers
in-depth tours of the 1,682-acre estate
The Somerston Estate currently offers
these tasting options:
