In general, the social, education and
livelihood sectors are central to development
processes globally and as such they form
an important component of Handicap
International’s comprehensive approach
to disability in our programmes. For the
period 2011–2015, sector-specific projects
should be linked explicitly with cross-cutting
approaches such as access to services, local
inclusive development and community-based
inclusive development, to achieve maximum
impact for the living conditions of people
with disabilities.
