Chapter 5: <strong>Daniels</strong> <strong>Radio</strong> System Testing<br />

Ensure that the receiver <strong>and</strong> transmitter are connected to the repeater controller via the RJ45 cables<br />

on the front panel. In some systems, the receiver <strong>and</strong> transmitter may be connected directly together<br />

using the RJ45 cables.<br />

Demodulated Audio Frequency:<br />

Check the COUNT meter on the meter panel. The demodulated audio should read the same as the<br />

modulated input. The low <strong>and</strong> high alarms are set for 995 Hz <strong>and</strong> 1005 Hz.<br />

Distortion:<br />

The distortion meter will read demodulated audio <strong>and</strong> give you a complete repeater system distortion<br />

reading. The High Alarm is set to 4.0 %.<br />

Enter the System Distortion reading on the <strong>MT</strong>-<strong>4E</strong> Test Sheet.<br />
