1. Entries must be made on official <strong>State</strong> <strong>Fair</strong> entry forms or by online<br />
entry. Entries must be postmarked by July 18. Exhibitor admission<br />
tickets may be purchased at time entry is made. For more information<br />
on online entries, see page 7. To enter online, go to www.kystatefair.<br />
org. Online entries require a credit card for payment of fees. Complete<br />
information, including the breed, variety and sex of each rabbit as well<br />
as the ear number, is required when making online entries.<br />
2. Exhibitors bringing entries into <strong>Fair</strong>grounds should use Gate 4,<br />
located off Crittenden Drive. The Rabbit Department is located in<br />
the Pavilion.<br />
3. The Rabbit Department will be open for the reception of rabbits<br />
on Wednesday, August 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. All exhibits<br />
must be in the hands of Show Superintendent by 8:00 a.m. Thursday,<br />
August 15. Judging to begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15.<br />
<strong>Rabbits</strong> will be released at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18 and must<br />
be removed by 9:00 p.m. The <strong>Fair</strong> is not responsible for rabbits left<br />
after this time.<br />
4. Exhibitors are expected to be present at judging to carry their animals<br />
or arrange for someone to do so in their absence.<br />
5. There will be NO sale coops. Only rabbits entered in the Show will<br />
be allowed on the <strong>Fair</strong>grounds. All rabbits must remain until 5:00<br />
p.m., Sunday, August 18. Exhibitors violating these rules will forfeit<br />
all premiums won. All cooped rabbits will be judged as entered.<br />
6. This is an American Rabbit Breeders Association SANCTIONED<br />
SHOW and will be governed by their latest revised rules. Only breeds<br />
and varieties recognized by the A.R.B.A. are eligible to show. Entry<br />
form must be completely filled out with Breed Name, Variety (if<br />

applicable), sex and class as well as division number & class number<br />
(including letter). The filing of an entry indicates acceptance of rules<br />
and regulations.<br />
7. All exhibitors entering in the youth show (divisions 1802, 1804 or<br />
1806) must be under the age of 19 on the day of the show. Youth<br />
exhibitors may not enter the same rabbit in both the open and youth<br />
shows but can make entries in both shows with different rabbits.<br />
8. No Does and Litters accepted.<br />
9. No substitutions except in same class, sex and breed.<br />
10. Fur classes must be entered in paid breed class to compete.<br />
11. All rabbits must be permanently and legibly earmarked in the animal’s<br />
left ear.<br />
12. Any rabbit showing symptoms of disease will be isolated, and not<br />
allowed to be in competition. Entry fee will be forfeited.<br />
13. All rabbits that are over-weight or under-weight will be eliminated.<br />
There will be no changes after the rabbits are placed on the<br />
judges table. All junior class rabbits must meet minimum weight<br />
requirements as listed in the ARBA breed standards. Any rabbit<br />
significantly underweight for its breed will be removed from the show<br />
room.<br />
<strong>Rabbits</strong><br />
14. Wall space for exhibitor grooming tables, chairs and supplies is limited<br />
and must be shared and kept clean and presentable. No exhibitor<br />
carrying cases may be left in the showroom.<br />
15. There must be ten (10) or more exhibits in the breed to win Best of<br />
Breed and Best Opposite Sex Specials. Listed premiums paid on all<br />
classes regardless of number in class.<br />
16. Exhibitors are limited to winning two premiums and two ribbons in<br />
each class.<br />
17. The <strong>Fair</strong> offers a minimum of $2,640. If premiums won exceed<br />
$3,550, individual premium amounts will be prorated.<br />
