Stamp eligibility determination. However, Food Stamp<br />
benefits shall not be delayed if the Food Stamp verification<br />
requirements are met and the PA requirements cannot be<br />
met.<br />
SAWS 1 Application<br />
When an applicant wants to apply for PA/<strong>FS</strong> the “Food<br />
Stamp box” on the SAWS 1 is checked “yes” and a SAWS<br />
2 is completed. If during the interview the applicant<br />
decides he/she does not want Food Stamps, application<br />
withdrawal procedures apply.<br />
When an applicant household does not wish to apply for<br />
Food Stamps, the Food Stamp box is checked “no.” If this<br />
box is not checked on the SAWS 1, a Food Stamp<br />
application must be taken.<br />
Initial PA Payment<br />
The anticipated PA payment shall be used in determining<br />
Food Stamp eligibility only if the PA payment has been<br />
authorized and will be issued within the month.<br />
Retroactive PA Payments<br />
That portion <strong>of</strong> the initial PA grant payment issued for a<br />
previous month (i.e., retroactive payment) is disregarded<br />
as a lump sum payment.<br />
<strong>FS</strong> <strong>63</strong>-301.7 - Categorically Eligible<br />
PA Households<br />
What is a categorically eligible PA household?<br />
Any household, in which all Food Stamp eligible members<br />
receive or are authorized to receive PA benefits, shall be<br />
considered eligible for Food Stamps because <strong>of</strong> their<br />
status as PA participants. The following shall also be<br />
considered categorically eligible:<br />
• The eligibility factors which shall be accepted for<br />
Food Stamp eligibility without verification:<br />
• gross and net income limits;<br />
• social security number information;<br />
• sponsored non-citizen information; or<br />
• residency.<br />
• When determining whether a household is to be<br />
considered PA categorically eligible, the EW shall<br />
verify the following factors, only when questionable:
