Zero Emissi<strong>on</strong><br />
Zero Emissi<strong>on</strong> is <strong>on</strong>e of <strong>the</strong> ideal states of society. The c<strong>on</strong>cept of <strong>the</strong> zero emissi<strong>on</strong> is to categorize<br />
material by separati<strong>on</strong> of waste <strong>the</strong>n turn <strong>the</strong> waste to resources.<br />
Any factory can achieve <strong>the</strong> zero emissi<strong>on</strong> by categorizing all <strong>the</strong> material that is out-put from <strong>the</strong> factory<br />
to products <strong>and</strong> o<strong>the</strong>rs <strong>the</strong>n make o<strong>the</strong>rs into resources by separati<strong>on</strong> of industrial waste.<br />
In March 2003, Mizuno attained Zero Emissi<strong>on</strong> at all its domestic factories. Each m<strong>on</strong>th, we track <strong>and</strong><br />
manage emissi<strong>on</strong>s, emissi<strong>on</strong> amounts, incinerati<strong>on</strong> amounts <strong>and</strong> l<strong>and</strong>fill amounts for each plant. At<br />
Mizuno, we define Zero Emissi<strong>on</strong> as recycling of over 98% by weight of industrial waste generated in <strong>the</strong><br />
producti<strong>on</strong> process. In fiscal 2006, our recycling rate was 99.1%.<br />
