SPRINTING SISTERS 3rd SEASON
The Sprinting Sisters are
back for their 3rd season
of running! The group has
grown to include 53 girls
in 4th through 6th grade.
It is offered to encourage
teambuilding skills, selfesteem,
the importance of
community, and healthy
living through running. The
eight week program started
with a snowy start. We meet
Tuesdays and Thursdays from
fi nishing June 4th. The goal is
to complete the City of Trails
5K race in St. Croix Falls on
June 8th.
Ms. Erickson, OMS school
counselor and Ms. Kraemer,
club facilitators and are joined by a group of six volunteer coaches. Each practice focuses on a different topic to build
feelings of self-worth and community while running as a group.
The 2013 season of Sprinting Sisters was sponsored by Central Bank’s RiverBuck’s program during the week of May 20th.
Don’t forget to come and cheer on a “sister” at the City of Trails race in June.
