Pint Sized Picassos!<br />

June 11 – 27 9:30 -11am Tuesdays and Thursdays ages 2 -5<br />

BIG fun for your little ones! Each day is filled with gross<br />

motor movement, crafts, music stories and art projects<br />

centered around <strong>the</strong> daily <strong>the</strong>me.<br />

June 25 - The World Around Me June 27 – Under <strong>the</strong> Sea<br />

Barnstormers<br />

July 8th – 27th, 4-6pm, M-F ages 13 -18, performances July<br />

26 and 27. This camp-style session is for youth to write, produce,<br />

and direct <strong>the</strong>ir own play centered on <strong>the</strong> <strong>the</strong>me <strong>of</strong><br />

Community.<br />

Broadway at <strong>the</strong> Barn<br />

July 29 – August 17, 9:30 -12pm M-F ages 7 – 13, Performances:<br />

August 16 &17. Take your star from singing in <strong>the</strong><br />

shower to center stage with our three week children’s<br />

musical camp. Participants will learn about <strong>the</strong> different<br />

aspects <strong>of</strong> writing, directing, and participating in an original<br />

<strong>the</strong>ater production.<br />

Festival Theater Summer 2013 Creativity<br />

Camp<br />

Open to students ages 5-12 . Campers bring lunch and<br />

snacks, sharing for parents & friends, Fridays at 2:00pm.<br />

Fee: $85 per week, all supplies included. Dates and locations:<br />

St. Croix Falls Elementary <strong>School</strong> July 22 - 26 Monday-<br />

Friday, 8:30 - 3:30, St. Croix Falls Elementary <strong>School</strong> August<br />

12 - 16 Monday-Friday, 8:30 - 3:30. Five full days <strong>of</strong> fresh air<br />

and sunshine, brushes, paint, paper, glue, a pile <strong>of</strong> great<br />

stories, music, games, silliness, a bag <strong>of</strong> props, friends,<br />

laughing, and a whole lot <strong>of</strong> ideas! Join us this summer<br />

<strong>Osceola</strong> Community Ed Driver’s<br />

Education<br />

We are still accepting registrations Summer Driver’s Ed.<br />

June 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27. 7am and<br />

10am classes are available. Pre-registration is required.<br />

Payment must accompany registration to be considered.<br />

Students must be 15 by <strong>the</strong> first day <strong>of</strong> class to enroll. A<br />

letter will be sent to enrolled participants after receiving<br />

registration and payment. You will be notified if class is<br />

filled and student is not able to enroll. Classes will be held<br />

at <strong>Osceola</strong> high <strong>School</strong> in Room 110. A birth certificate will<br />

be required for <strong>the</strong> 1st day <strong>of</strong> class. Pick up your registration<br />

at <strong>the</strong> <strong>Osceola</strong> High <strong>School</strong> Office or online at www.<br />

S.T.E.P. (Senior Tax Exchange Program)<br />

<strong>Osceola</strong> Elementary and <strong>Osceola</strong> Intermediate <strong>School</strong>s<br />

are now <strong>of</strong>fering S.T.E.P. (Senior Tax Exchange Program).<br />

Are you 62 or older, reside in <strong>the</strong> <strong>Osceola</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong><br />

and are interested in volunteering with students and<br />

staff? You may be eligible to receive a tax credit <strong>of</strong> up to<br />

$500 per household in exchange for your volunteer hours.<br />

Basic Education for Adults<br />

Brush up on <strong>the</strong> basic skills that you need to continue your<br />

education or to enter <strong>the</strong> workforce with confidence:<br />

reading, English, grammar, science, social studies, and<br />

math. These classes are also for those preparing to earn<br />

<strong>the</strong>ir GED/HSED and are self-paced with instructor assistance.<br />

You can enroll any time. Please register by calling<br />

Polk County Job Center at 715-485-3115. Classes held at<br />

Polk County Job Center in Balsam Lake.<br />

<strong>Osceola</strong> Chieftain Volleyball Summer Camp<br />

August 6-8th <strong>Osceola</strong> High <strong>School</strong> Gym<br />

For Girls Entering Grades 4th –8th (2013-2014 school year)<br />

Session I:<br />

Girls entering 4th – 6th Grade<br />

9-11am OHS Gym - $35<br />

Session II:<br />

Girls entering 7th & 8th Grade<br />

12:00-2:00 OHS Gym - $35<br />

The camp is designed to introduce beginning and intermediate<br />

players to <strong>the</strong> sport <strong>of</strong> volleyball. Each athlete<br />

will receive teaching on individual skills, specialty positions,<br />

and game concepts. This camp has a low player/coach<br />

ratio for more individualized instruction.<br />

Camp Director / Varsity Coach, Holly Huppert is in her 2nd<br />

year at <strong>Osceola</strong> High <strong>School</strong>. Coach Huppert has been<br />

<strong>the</strong> 9th grade coach at River Falls High <strong>School</strong> for <strong>the</strong><br />

last 5 years and has spent time coaching Junior Olympic<br />

teams during <strong>the</strong> winter seasons. Coach Huppert will bring<br />

a wealth <strong>of</strong> knowledge and expertise to <strong>the</strong> camp experience.<br />

WITC Classes<br />

Save <strong>the</strong> dates! Sept.-Oct.Driver’s Ed dates have been set<br />

Sept. 10, 11, 12 16, 18, 19, 23, 24, 26, 30, Oct. 1, 2. These<br />

dates will conflict with sports practices and games. There<br />

is no break between sports seasons to get an entire class<br />
