* This refers only to cooperation bureaus in countries where there is no Belgian embassy: Bamako, Cotonou, Maputo, Niamey, Quito and<br />
La Paz. Twenty-one offices are in the grounds of an embassy, consulate general or Permanent Representation.<br />
In <strong>2007</strong>, two missions were closed: the embassy in<br />
Libreville in Gabon and the consulate in Palma de<br />
Mallorca. Missions were opened in four locations: an<br />
embassy in Baku, a Permanent Representation at the<br />
Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons<br />
(OPCW) and at other international institutions in The<br />
Hague, a consulate general in Bukavu (actual opening<br />
in November <strong>2007</strong>), and a consulate in Nice (previously<br />
an honorary consulate).<br />
