End-of-Year Wrap-up
Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
I am writing this letter to bring you summer greetings. In addition, there are a number of important items
that we want to bring to your attention. Please read the following information and feel free to contact
Christy Siegel, Administrative Office Manager, at 763-712-4200 x105 if you have any questions.
1. Thank you to all those who took the time to complete and return your Climate Survey for the 2012-
2013 School Year. Your feedback is very important to us as we continue to strive for excellence in all
areas. Analysis of the Climate Survey should be completed by the Committee for School
Improvement and administration this summer. The School Board plans to review the results in
July/August, which will help us to establish goals for the upcoming school year. Be on the look out in
the September or October Pilot for a summary of the results and plans.
2. Contents of this mailing -
• Report Cards
• Notices/Invoices for items needing to be returned or paid for.
3. 2013-2014 School Calendar (Available on the website & WILL NOT be mailed)
Please note these important beginning of year dates and events:
- Tuesday, August 20th - Secondary Open House 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday, August 22nd - Elementary Open House 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Note: We are planning for school pictures to be taken at Open House again this year.
- Monday, August 26 th - First day of classes for all students!
4. Secondary Student Class Schedules – Were sent home with students the last day of school. You can
also log in to JMC to see your secondary student’s schedule. To view the Secondary Master
Overview Schedule please go to the PACT website & click on For Families; Forms; Secondary
Families; Master Overview Schedule Link.

5. Supply Lists - These will be posted in the front entry, (near the class lists) by June 21st. They will
also be available on our website by June 21st.
6. Summer Posted Office Hours – Summer school office hours from June 6th ~ August 9th, 2013 are
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Closed Friday's and July 4 th .
7. PACT–Communication@googlegroups.com – PACT will continue to communicate important
information throughout the summer in electronic format via this google group. If you are not already a
member of this group, please go to our website at www.pactcharter.k12.mn.us & click on the “For
Families” Header and then select “Parent Links” for instructions.
8. Elementary Class Lists – Will be posted in the main entrance (#1) windows by Friday, June 21st.
All students entering the 1 st , 3 rd and 5 th grades moved to a new teacher. Please stop by on or after June
21st if you are interested in viewing your child's class list for the 2013-2014 School Year.
Reminder: While we work hard to honor parent requests for teachers, it is not always possible. In the
best interest of all of the students, our staff gives careful consideration to many variables related to
the make up of each class.
9. Guidance Counselor Summer Schedule - As parents and students review the student schedule, there
will occasionally be questions that will come up before the school year begins. In order to
accommodate questions, concerns or schedule change requests (if necessary) in a timely manner, Mrs.
Walsh will be available at the school this summer according to the following schedule: August 7 th , 8 th ,
14 th , 15 th and 16 th from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. When the teachers return on Monday, August 20 th , Mrs.
Walsh will be back to her regular school year schedule.
10. rSchool Today – This is the PACT events calendar on the PACT website. Take a look! Once you are
logged on to the PACT website at www.pact.charter.k12.mn.us just click on the “Calendars” Header
and then click “Events”, and you will be directed to the rSchool PACT Calendar. The rSchool
Calendar is updated regularly and provides a good snap shot of all the things going on at PACT.
11. Looking Ahead to August – The next on-line publication of the PACT Pilot will be the first week in
August. Important information about Open House and the 2013-2014 School Year will also be mailed
out the first week in August.
