If you can help fn anyway, please
contact a club officer. WE DO NEED
YOUR HELP. This is an excellent
opportunfty for those of you who use
the repeaters and have never been to
the sfte to help out wfth an
important club project.
- BK
Club membership is at an all tfme
high w1th 443 members which exceeds
last year's 400 at the end of the
club year in July. We would like to
think that our growth is due to our
involvement in: club programs, nets,
repeaters, YE program, supporting
Ham radio, autopatches, Field Day.
and a friendly environment in which
to pursue your hobby.
If we are not meet1ng your needs,
please contact a club offfcer and
express your concerns to them.
The SEPTEMBER fssue of the SCOPE
will contain the 90-91 club roster
so you won't recefve the roster
unless you are a 91-92 club memberl
Sfgn up NOW.
There wf11 be NO YE TEST session
at the Carlsbad Safety Center by
PARC in September since the test
site fs not available.
- BK
We would 1fke to welcome two new
club members who are also new
advertfsers in the SCOPE. Loyal
Hanson-W9WY is a registered patent
attorney who works with patents.
trademarks, and related matters.
His offfce is in Fallbrook. Another
advertfser fs my former student
('62) who fs also a patent attorney,
Hugh-W4ESQ. He used to work for the
FCC and the Patent Off1ce fn
Washfngton, DC. "FRENCHIE", Dfane
Hanson-KB6TVZ and W9WV's XYL, does
copywr1t 1ng, dubbi ng or subt 1tl es,
ed1ting, interpreting, paralegal,
proofreading, researching. transcribing,
translating, vo1ceovers,
and writing services •• there is
really more but it would take up
several pages.
Another new advert1ser fs Joey
NU6L who has been doing electr1CaT
work - in SO Co. for ages and is
helping the club with a project fn
the repeater bunker on Palomar
Mountain. Joey is a fierce
competitor on the tennis court and
always gives me troubles •• he never
gives up and he runs for everything
so I suspect he works the same way.
REMEMBER that advertisers in the
SCOPE help keep our dues at $12 when
other clubs are raisfng the1r dues
••which were already higher than
ours. Be sure to ment10n that you
