Extra class not too long ago and never<br />

realJy had a chance to use my new<br />

privileges because of my heavy workload.<br />

Hopefully I can use my Extra<br />

class license in the months to come.<br />

Another of the similarities with the east<br />

is that I hope I can find enough time to<br />

finish those projects.<br />

So, as the fall approaches, look<br />

around or think about what you can do<br />

to enhance your hobby. What are some<br />

of your seasonal amateur radio memories?<br />

Remember that amateur radio is<br />

what you make of it. It's one of the<br />

cheapest hobbies you can have, next to<br />

watching the grass grow. I know, I did a<br />

study of it comparing all the other hobbies<br />

you can have. Now is your time to<br />

enjoy the hobby just a little bit more.<br />

By now, most of you who participated<br />

in Field Day <strong>2000</strong> probably recall<br />

someone in your group saying, "Hey, I<br />

just worked an Ontario station running<br />

35-ALPHA!" I know that bit of information<br />

was received with a degree of<br />

amazement at the BellbrookARC FD<br />

site and quickly spread among the participants<br />
