Label Label Label (stuck up)
Last month we placed your phone
number on your label with instructions
to let us know if we had your number
and AREA code correct. Many thanks
to those 12 who sent us corrections.
This month we are going to put your
e-mail address on the label. Please
check it carefully and if it is not: the one
we should be using, then please send all
updates toaldonlevy@juno.com
If any ofyou still have the February
Scope, you might check your label and
see if we have the AREA code correct
and also the remaining digits correct.
Herb Johnson
We received word during the Swan
Technical Net last night from Jim/
WA5BDR that Herb Johnson, founder
and former owner of Swan Electronics
passed away Tuesday February 1st,
2000. He was 79 years old and in
failing health for the past 4 years.
Meeting Place
(also see page 7 -Ed)
Well, the time is finally here when
we will be meeting at the alternate meeting
site.
I am pleased to extend a heartfelt
thanks to those who helped me find the
site. Many thanks are due to
KC6UQHArt, !'/U6LJoe, W6JABBiII,
JVN6KPaul, and one other club member
who's call I've lost (for which I apologize).
Without your help I'd not have
completed the task.
Each of the above club members
dedicated some of their time to help me
in the quest for a place where we could
meet, and which would satisfY the commuting,
time, days of the week, and related
matters that are important for our
meetings to be accessible to all club
members. It is not: easy for one individual
to cover the landscape ofalternatives that
may be viable.
Like PIT BULLS, the volunteers
sought locations with alacrity and vigor.
Through their efforts we wound up with
three alternative sites from which to
choose, and were able to do so based on
the best location and least expense to the
club.
To every one ofthe mentioned members,
a hearty WELL DONE. That's
what volunteerism is all about, and all
P ARC members thank you for helping us
find the alternate location.
