2.2.4 Service 4 — Family and carers support<br />
Family and carer support includes the provision <strong>of</strong> a range <strong>of</strong> flexible family support<br />
and respite services to support families and carers in their primary care-giving role.<br />

The total cost for this financial year was $64.126 million,<br />
averaging $13,796 per person.<br />

• Continue to develop initiatives that support carers.<br />
• Work with disability service providers to build awareness and understanding <strong>of</strong> issues<br />
and concerns facing families and carers <strong>of</strong> people with disability.<br />
