Exceptions Report
1 INTRODUCTION
1.1.1 This report is the Designer’s Response and Exceptions Report resulting from the
Stage 1 Road Safety Audit for the M1 Junction 19 Improvement Scheme carried out
by Jacobs on the Preferred Route.
1.1.2 The findings of the Road Safety Audit are detailed within the report entitled “M1
Junction 19 Improvement Road Safety Audit Stage 1 June 2009, Original”.
1.1.3 The Stage 1 Road Safety Audit review was carried out by:

1.1.4 For details of the drawings and documents examined as part of the Audit, refer to the
Stage 1 Audit Report - Paragraph 1.8.
1.1.5 The findings and recommendations of the Stage 1 Road Safety Audit are summarised
together with the Designer’s responses, which reflect the scheme design at July
2009.
1.1.6 Section 3 of this report concludes the Designer’s findings.
