One single table is transformed into a system that adapts to transversal use, interfacing with any environment, from the dining room to the living room, from the kitchen to the bedroom, from the home desk to the office desk, from meeting rooms to the executive offices. Its structure allows you to create extremely customised and flexible accessories. The distinctive element is represented by the support structure, consisting of metal legs that are inserted into the horizontal profiles with a fluid and measured arch. The surfaces, framed by a wire support frame, are available in different finishes, laminated, painted, varnished, back-lacquered glass, wood or leather; the same availability applies to the supporting structure as well. The profile Internationally, 68 percent of teleworkers say that the blurring of boundaries between work and home life is the biggest downside to working at home: what might be the next evolution for what has been called the ‘home-office’? I think that to work at home is very interesting and comfortable if you are able to divide yourself between work and family life. People must learn to have a time for working and a time for being with the family, although I know it’s very difficult to do. It is especially difficult if you work in a creative field, because inspiration can appear at any moment and not just when you are sitting at your work table. It is very important to reduce the hours we dedicate to our jobs, but to do so efficiently: fewer hours but concentrating more and leaving time for leisure. Stiamo per elaborare un approccio diverso? Dobbiamo certamente sviluppare un nuovo modo di lavorare, dobbiamo andare verso un approccio più disteso al lavoro quotidiano. E’ molto importante, riducendo le ore di dedizione al nostro lavoro ma con efficacia: meno ore ma con molta concentrazione e tempo per relax. Jorge Pensi What is the general atmosphere in your studio, how do you ‘interpret’ your space? What is the prevailing attitude on your work days? As I explained before the general atmosphere in my studio comes from the way people relate to each other: playing together, creating things that may last, talking and laughing, exchanging comments and ideas, and above all knowing that we are designing pieces for a partner with whom we share the same excellent communication style we use within our workplace. 4/IV Come ho spiegato prima, l’atmosfera generale nel mio studio nasce dal modo con cui le persone si relazionano insieme, creando cose che potrebbero durare, parlando e ridendo, scambiando commenti e idee.
