Event description
Travelling is an experience. Travelling to discover new places is a dream. Travelling to the
unknown, visiting 5 countries and 4 different European capitals with an amazing group of
25 like-minded students is... a Scandinavian Dream! And it is a dream about to come true.
This July, AEGEE-Helsinki and AEGEE-København join their forces to take you on a
unique journey to unveil the secrets of the mysterious North!
The two-week adventure full of fun and sun begins in Copenhagen, Denmark - the country
of the famous Lego and home of the happiest people in the world! From the jolly streets of
Copenhagen and Freetown Christiania, the journey continues by train to Stockholm, the
capital of Sweden, to explore one of Europe’s most dynamic cities.
As you are learning your way through the Nordic traits, sports and language, it will be time
to continue east to meet yet another Nordic capital, Helsinki. With a weekend in a beautiful
Finnish lakeside cottage in Nurmijärvi and day trips to the Nuuksio national park and
Tallinn, Estonia you will experience a different side of the Nordic lifestyle and discover
places you never thought you would see!

Copenhagen
The adventure starts here! Copenhagen is the capital of Denmark famous for its active
inhabitants biking all over the city. A large part of the small country's population live in
Copenhagen. Its inhabitants ensure that the Danish capital is rich in culture and life. You
can enjoy a cold beverage in Nyhavn, relax in Kongens Have and much more.
Christiania
One thousand inhabitants of Copenhagen live in this beautiful area of the Danish capital. It
is Denmark's fourth largest tourist attraction visited by about 500 000 people every year.
While never announced as an official freetown, Christiania even has its own flag.
Stockholm
Stockholm is world famous for its location by the sea. Almost fifty percent of the city's area
is water. Stockholm and its beautiful islands are visited by more than 17 million travellers a
year. This makes the capital of Sweden one of the major destinations in northern Europe.
The city invites for a stroll in the charming Old Town or in one of its thirty-eight parks.
Helsinki
Helsinki is trendy and rich in culture, characterized by flavours of both East and West. The
city has ample offerings for visitors who look for new experiences and nightlife. Distinctive
features of the city are large green areas and the strong presence of the sea. By European
standards Helsinki is a small capital with just over 600 000 inhabitants.
