that we will visit in order enjoy its beauty and natural surroundings.<br />

We’ll also visit some beautiful villages, such as Santillana del Mar and Comillas, noted for<br />

their medieval, Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings, including the one created by the<br />

renowned artist Antoni gaudí.<br />

And last but not least, we will discover the secrets of the cantabrian gastronomy... and we<br />

will taste some of the many varieties of Orujo, the local grape liquor.<br />

Principality of Asturias<br />

The Principality Of Asturias is the last region we'll visit in this awesome journey across the<br />

Northren Coast. Known as the cradle of Spain due to the Battle of Covadonga —where the<br />

reconquest of the country begun in 722—, Asturias is also famous by the Sidra (cider) and<br />

the special way it is poured. For asturian people Sidra is not just a drink, but a religion, as<br />

you will discover attending to some asturian traditional festivals. You'll also visit Gijón,<br />

known as the capital of the green coast and largest city in the region, but also Oviedo —the<br />

capital of the Principality, full of ancient and beautiful places— and some other stunning<br />

places where you'll also practise outdoor sports... in the second most mountainous region<br />

of Europe.<br />
