Event description
The first things that come to our minds anytime someone speaks about the ‘Spanish way of
life’ are delicious food, sunlight, gorgeous beaches... And a laid-back, relaxed and
optimistic lifestyle. We invite you to forget about your worries for a couple of weeks and
make the most of your optimism through relaxation, assertiveness and motivation
workshops, and having fun dancing, expressing yourself... And enjoying Spanish sunlight
and sea!
All of this will be provided in the best environment possible: Barcelona and Gran Canaria
are two perfect examples of colorful and open-minded cities, with lots of cultural aspects to
offer. The sea on our side, and a vibrant nightlife when the sun comes down. In this Travel
Summer University, both cities are joining forces to tell Europe how to look on ‘the bright,
sunny side of life’ and some clues to make our life more easy-going. You’ll get to know
these two wonderful cities, lots of interesting people... And you’ll also get to know
YOURSELVES! Don’t think twice and be prepared to stay connected to your life's paradise.
Just for you to know: the ticket from Barcelona to Gran Canaria is included in the fee ;)
Places visited
Barcelona
Barcelona's always been on the top world travel destinations thanks to Gaudí's Modern art
heritage. You shouldn't miss the endless nights on the seaside, some paella with sangria,
and crema catalana!
Gran Canaria
If Gran Canaria had to be described with a single word, that would be "contrast". Urban
area in the northeast (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), dunes in the south (Maspalomas), flat
area in the east (Telde), scary cliffs in the western, wavy ocean and pebble beaches in the
north (Agaete and Gáldar) and vegetation and mountains in the center (Roque Nublo, San
Mateo and Teror). All this in 47 Km of diameter and in a 1.560 Km2 area. I think that you
will understand now why is the island called Gran Canaria: a Miniature Continent.
