1707, Ms. Dom Bennet Weldon was commissioned by the President of the Congress to collect material relating to the<br />
history of the English Benedictine Congregation, with a view to preserving it for future historians. He produced, in<br />
1707, two massive volumes containing both original documents and copies (made by Weldon himself), which are the<br />
most important source of English Benedictine history in the 17 th century.<br />
