Restricted practising membership<br />

5(1) Restricted practising membership in the college is available to an individual who:<br />

(a) meets the requirements <strong>of</strong> clauses 19(1)(a), (b), and (c) <strong>of</strong> the Act;<br />

(b) has successfully completed the written component <strong>of</strong> a recognized competency examination; and<br />

(c) submits a completed application in the form provided by the college.<br />

(2) Subject to obtaining a practising licence, restricted practising membership entitles a member to:<br />

(a) use the title “Physiotherapist” or “Physical Therapist” or any other word, title or designation, whether<br />

or not abbreviated, to indicate that the individual is practising as a restricted practising member <strong>of</strong> the<br />

college;<br />

(b) speak but not vote at the annual and special meetings <strong>of</strong> the college;<br />

(c) serve as a representative <strong>of</strong> the college when appointed to do so;<br />

(d) receive a copy <strong>of</strong> college documents appropriate for distribution; and<br />

(e) receive the publications <strong>of</strong> the college.<br />

Academic practising membership<br />

6(1) Academic practising membership in the college is available to an individual who:<br />

(a) meets the requirements <strong>of</strong> clauses 19(1)(a), (b), and (c) <strong>of</strong> the Act;<br />

(b) has received an appointment to the academic staff <strong>of</strong> a university in <strong>Saskatchewan</strong> in a program<br />

described in clause 19(1)(c) <strong>of</strong> the Act; and<br />

(c) submits a completed application in the form provided by the college.<br />

(2) Subject to obtaining a practising licence, academic practising membership entitles a member to:<br />

(a) use the title “Physiotherapist” or “Physical Therapist” or any other word, title or designation, whether<br />

or not abbreviated, to indicate that the individual is practising as an academic member <strong>of</strong> the college;<br />

(b) speak but not vote at the annual and special meetings <strong>of</strong> the college;<br />

(c) serve as a representative <strong>of</strong> the college when appointed to do so;<br />

(d) receive a copy <strong>of</strong> college documents appropriate for distribution; and<br />

(e) receive the publications <strong>of</strong> the college.<br />

Non-practising membership<br />

7(1) Non-practising membership in the college is available to an individual who is eligible for registration<br />

as a practising member but is not currently practising physical therapy in <strong>Saskatchewan</strong>, and who submits a<br />

completed application in the form provided by the college.<br />

(2) Non-practising membership entitles a member to:<br />

(a) speak but not vote at the annual and special meetings <strong>of</strong> the college;<br />

(b) serve as a representative <strong>of</strong> the college when appointed to do so;<br />

(c) receive a copy <strong>of</strong> college documents appropriate for distribution; and<br />

(d) receive the publications <strong>of</strong> the college.<br />

Temporary practising membership<br />

8(1) Temporary practising membership in the college is available to an individual who:<br />

(a) wishes to be registered for a specific period <strong>of</strong> time in order to attend or instruct as a physical therapist<br />

at a continuing education course or event;
