Rolls-Royce has invested heavily in new training facilities over the last two years.
The result is two new purpose-built training centres in Ålesund and Singapore.
Regional Training Centre, Singapore – a new training facility for Rolls-Royce excellence.
Seletar – Regional training centre in Singapore

In July, Rolls-Royce opened a Regional
Training Centre (RTC) in Singapore – the
group’s first training facility in Asia. RTC is to
provide world-class, accredited training for
customers and employees across Asia and
will contribute to skills and talent
development in the region.
Through the RTC, Rolls-Royce will help to
develop the talent pool the company and its
customers require, while promoting a culture
of engineering excellence in Asia. The first
technicians graduated in September, and are
taking up new roles in the new Seletar
Assembly and Test Unit (SATU).
The RTC combines the latest technology,
equipment and facilities, and customers
in the region will now be able to access
world-class training right at their doorsteps.
This is a fast growing region, and customers
and employees will no longer have to travel
to Europe or the US for access to training. The
training equipment at RTS is matched to the
Rolls-Royce equipment operating in the
region.
Making a first appearance in Asia are two
simulator domes, configured for subsea,
bridge, crane or winch operations. The
domes will allow trainees to practice
manoeuvring operations in realistic situations
and various sea states, in a safe and
controlled environment.
“The simulator domes are undoubtedly the
main attractions for Marine customers in Asia.
We are excited to have this new training
resource available to us, and the ability to
offer enhanced knowledge and skills transfer
to customers and partners in this fast
growing region,” says Gary Wieland, Senior
Vice President, Services- Asia.
