RECENT DELIVERIES EMAS The most powerful UT vessels built in China, two UT 788 CDs, are now in service with EMAS. The Multi-functional Ultra Deep Water Anchor-Handling Tug, Supply and Service vessels (AHTS) were built at Drydocks World’s Singapore facility. Lewek Fulmar has broken the world bollard pull record by an AHTS at 402.4T, surpassing the previous record of 397T. These vessels are specially designed to handle supply duties between land bases and drilling sites, towing of threatening objects, assist during deepwater anchor-handling and tanker loading. In addition, they are capable of carrying out field inspection, maintenance and repair roles. COSL 720 UT 776 CD COSL COSL 720 is the first and most advanced deep-water seismic survey vessel built in China so far, and the seismic handling equipment is delivered by Rolls-Royce. The vessel will be capable of towing 12 streamers, each 8000m long, to carry out seismic survey operation. COSL 720 is equipped with a new generation of seismic collection system, integrated navigation system, lateral control system and a complete diesel-electric propulsion system which is able to effectively reduce vessel fuel consumption, vibration and noise. ISLAND OFFSHORE Island Centurion has been delivered to Island Offshore by the STX OSV yard at Brevik in Norway . This is the fifth Rolls-Royce UT 776 CD that the shipyard has built for this shipowner, and it will be followed by Island Captain, also a UT 776 CD, in February 2012, with another three vessels for delivery in 2012 and 2013. Island Offshore has been awarded a seven year contract with four yearly option extensions for both vessels by Schlumberger. Island Centurion and Island Captain will operate as well stimulation vessels from mid-2013. Island Patriot and Island Commander are already employed on this type of work. 6 VISION 1/12
