Minimum St<strong>and</strong>ards - Managers<br />
RQIA is assured through the registration<br />
process that the person:<br />
• Intends to carry on the establishment in accordance<br />
with legislative requirements, DHSSPS Minimum<br />
St<strong>and</strong>ards, <strong>and</strong> other st<strong>and</strong>ards set by professional<br />
bodies <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ards setting organisations<br />
How will the provider ensure that the ‘manager’ will<br />
discharge his/her responsibilities to meet requirements<br />
<strong>and</strong>/or st<strong>and</strong>ards?<br />
Minimum St<strong>and</strong>ards - Managers<br />
RQIA is assured through the registration<br />
process that the person:<br />
• Intends to undertake update training to ensure<br />
he/she has the necessary knowledge <strong>and</strong> skills<br />
• Will maintain registration with NISSC/NMC <strong>and</strong><br />
adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct.<br />
The ‘manager’ needs to demonstrate familiarity with the<br />
regulatory framework.<br />
The Manager <strong>and</strong> Training<br />
10 (3) The registered manager shall undertake<br />
from time to time such training as is appropriate<br />
to ensure that he has the experience <strong>and</strong> skills<br />
necessary for managing the home.<br />
Ensure documentary evidence <strong>and</strong> records maintained.<br />
