The results of laboratory tests for rabies must be<br />
disseminated as indicated in <strong>the</strong> diagram below (Fig.<br />
5). All results should preferably be faxed but where<br />
this is not possible, results must be communicated by<br />
phone and an official letter posted. State veterinarians<br />
and <strong>the</strong> provincial veterinary director will appoint a<br />
responsible clerk to maintain a register.<br />
