She played two amazing roles last Ramadan in Neran Sadeeqa and Moga Harra. Cairo West
Magazine spoke to Rania to check out what she has in store for us this year. “This year I am
so excited about the two series: Al Sabaa Wasaya and Al Sandoq Al Aswad. In the first I play
the role of a sister who is the remaining spinster. She takes care of her father until he dies
leaving them his will with seven commandments. Only after they have fulfilled those seven
commandments can they be entitled to their inheritance. From then on a series of surprises
unfold.”
“I am in love with this role” says Hana Shiha of her part in the Ramadan
Series Al Sabaa Wasaya. “I play EmEm, one of seven brothers and sisters.
I am married and work as a street vendor is Ataba selling women’s
lingerie. A horrible incident happens and the 7 brothers and sisters flee
the place where they live. When we learn of our father’s death we come
together again only to find that he left us 7 commandments or orders
to fulfill in order to get our inheritance. Each one of us has one waseya
or mission to accomplish to undo something they had done, which
cause them to flee at the beginning.”
Unlike her role in Moga Harra last year, Shiha takes on a very different
persona, “This time I come from a different class completely. Last
Ramadan I played a character that was dominated by the people in her
life. She could not get the life she wanted. My character this Ramadan
is dominating. I know how to get what I want. I assume different
personalities. It’s so interesting, you’ll see,” says the star coyly.
“As for my role in Al Sandoq Al Aswad, I am Dawlat, the daughter of the driver and
the maid. I was raised by the man for whom my parents work and was considered
his daughter. All of a sudden this man’s wife gives birth and I am not considered
their daughter anymore. The state of shock leads to a series of incidents and
surprises that make this plot irresistible.” Co-stars: Tamer Hagras, Zaki Fateen
Abdel Wahab, Aida Riad, Fedra, Ingy El Moqadem and Khaled Sarhan.
The star sounded so amused with his role in the series Al Sandoq
Al Aswad when we spoke to him. “I play the role of an owner of an
advertising agency. Being a womaniser, and in a lot of debt play a
big role in this drama. There is a lot of action with kidnapping and
fights but at the same time a lot of romance. I meet Rania Youssef,
whom I have known for a long time and realize that I love her. You
will find out what happens to this relationship when you watch Al
Sandoq Al Aswad.”
