WEBSTER — Antonio H. Guasp, 74, of 28<br />

Prospect St., died Sunday, April 11, at home<br />

after an illness.<br />

He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia<br />

Baxter in 1999.<br />

He leaves three sons, Antonio H. Guasp<br />

Jr. of Puerto Rico, Louis Guasp of South<br />

Carolina <strong>and</strong> Bernard Guasp of<br />

Southbridge; a stepson, Robert Richard; his<br />

companion, Josephine Rumrill; 14 gr<strong>and</strong>children<br />

<strong>and</strong> nine great-gr<strong>and</strong>children. He<br />

was predeceased by a son, Leo Mailloux<br />

WEBSTER — Ramon L. Cintron, 58, of 11<br />

Village Way, died Sunday, April 11.<br />

He leaves his mother, Juana Navedo of<br />

<strong>and</strong> stepfather, Felix Navedo of <strong>Webster</strong>;<br />

three sons, Ramon Antonio Cintron of<br />

Puerto Rico, George L. Cintron of Puerto<br />

Rico <strong>and</strong> Benito Cintron of Fitchburg; a<br />

sister, Sonia Zayas of Dudley; a stepbrother,<br />

George Benitez of <strong>Webster</strong>; two step-sisters,<br />

Josephine Lugo of Worcester <strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong><br />

Mara Lugo of Puerto Rico; four gr<strong>and</strong>children.<br />

He was predeceased by two brothers,<br />

WEBSTER — Theresa C. “Terry” (<br />

Deslauriers) Voutour, 74, of 15 Linwood St.,<br />

passed away Sunday, April 4, unexpectedly<br />

in her home.<br />

She leaves behind her husb<strong>and</strong> of 38<br />

years, Jesse M. Voutour Sr., a son, Jesse S.<br />

Voutour of North Carolina, three daughters,<br />

Louise Chadbourne of Dudley, Dawn<br />

Christy of Rutl<strong>and</strong>, <strong>and</strong> Judy Rana of<br />

Florida, <strong>and</strong> five gr<strong>and</strong>children.<br />

Theresa was born in <strong>Webster</strong> <strong>and</strong> lived<br />

here all her life.<br />

She worked at the former Bates Shoe Co.,<br />

He was born in East Bridgewater, the son of<br />

the late George W. <strong>and</strong> Bessie (Chamberlain)<br />

Blackwell, <strong>and</strong> lived in East Bridgewater <strong>and</strong><br />

Oxford before moving to Port Charlotte, Fla.,<br />

17 years ago.<br />

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War<br />

II.<br />

Mr. Blackwell was a superintendent at L.<br />

Farber Co. in Worcester for 17 years, retiring<br />

in 1992. Previously, he worked at Wind<br />

Innersole in Brockton for 26 years. He was a<br />

member <strong>and</strong> past president of the East<br />

Bridgewater Commercial Club. He enjoyed<br />

traveling, woodworking, gardening, <strong>and</strong> especially<br />

loved growing roses.<br />

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m.<br />

Saturday, April 17, at Paradis Funeral Home,<br />

357 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow at<br />

North Cemetery, Oxford. Calling hours will<br />

be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Saturday,<br />

AUBURN — James E. Haynes, 76, of<br />

Auburn <strong>and</strong> formerly of Worcester, died<br />

Tuesday, April 6, at Radius<br />

Healthcare Center,<br />

Worcester, surrounded by<br />

his loving family.<br />

He leaves his wife of 57<br />

years, Lucy A. (Johnson)<br />

Haynes; his five children,<br />

James C. Haynes Sr. <strong>and</strong> his<br />

wife Darlene of Holden,<br />

Michael E. Haynes <strong>and</strong> his<br />

wife Christine of Spencer, Ann Marie<br />

LeBoeuf <strong>and</strong> her husb<strong>and</strong> John Sr. of<br />

Worcester, Deborah A. Buniowski of<br />

Worcester <strong>and</strong> her late husb<strong>and</strong> Edward, <strong>and</strong><br />

David F. Haynes <strong>and</strong> his wife Kimberly of<br />

Dudley; his 13 gr<strong>and</strong>children, 22 great gr<strong>and</strong>children<br />

<strong>and</strong> many nieces <strong>and</strong> nephews.<br />

He was predeceased by his four siblings.<br />

Jim was born in Worcester, son of the late<br />

Frederick F. <strong>and</strong> Bertha A. (Poutre) Haynes.<br />

He attended Commerce High School. Jim<br />

then spent many years working as a shoemaker<br />

for the former H.H. Brown Shoe<br />

Company, Worcester. He then worked as a<br />

machine operator for the Heald Machine<br />

Division of the Cincinnati Milacron<br />

Company, Worcester.<br />

In his retirement, he helped several of his<br />

children in their business, with moral <strong>and</strong><br />

physical support. Jim was an avid outdoorsman.<br />

He loved to fish, was often referred to as<br />

“New Engl<strong>and</strong>’s Fisherman” <strong>and</strong> published<br />

many articles. He also enjoyed hunting <strong>and</strong><br />

playing golf. He was a former member of the<br />

Singletary Rod <strong>and</strong> Gun Club, Sutton, <strong>and</strong><br />

the Auburn Sportsman’s Club. Jim was most<br />

dedicated to his family, serving as the rock<br />

<strong>and</strong> strength of the family. His words of<br />

encouragement <strong>and</strong> the endless giving of<br />

himself will be most missed by those he<br />

leaves.<br />

Jim’s family would like to thank all of the<br />

staff at the Radius Healthcare Center,<br />

Worcester, for their dedicated support <strong>and</strong><br />

tender care shown to Jim during his recent<br />

illness.<br />

in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91<br />

Central St., Auburn. His funeral was held<br />

Friday, April 9, from the funeral home with a<br />

Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Joseph’s<br />

Church, 189 Oxford St. N., Auburn. Burial followed<br />

in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery, <strong>Webster</strong>.<br />

Funeral Home, 48 School St., <strong>Webster</strong>, with<br />

a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. The family<br />

He was born in Guynabo, Puerto Rico,<br />

son of the late Antonio Cintron <strong>and</strong> moved<br />

to <strong>Webster</strong> in 1966. He was a machine operator<br />

at the American Optical.<br />

from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48<br />

School Street, <strong>Webster</strong>, with a Mass in<br />

Saint Louis Church, Lake Street, <strong>Webster</strong>.<br />

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery,<br />

<strong>Webster</strong>. Calling hours at the funeral home<br />

were Thursday, April 15.<br />

SOUTHBRIDGE — Lino “Tinin”<br />

Gonzalez, 62, a life-long Southbridge resident,<br />

died Tuesday, April 6, at the UMass<br />

Memorial Hospital in Worcester, following<br />

an illness.<br />

He is survived by his children, Evelyn<br />

Rossi of Southbridge, Carlos Gonzalez of<br />

Southbridge, Jose Gonzalez of Dudley,<br />

Timothy Gonzalez of Lawrence, Lino<br />

Gonzalez, Jr. of Bolton <strong>and</strong> Monique La-<br />

Franchise of Southbridge; a stepson, Scott<br />

Bailey of Southbridge; several gr<strong>and</strong>children<br />

<strong>and</strong> several nieces <strong>and</strong> nephews. He is<br />

also survived by two brothers, Esteban<br />

Gonzalez, Sr. of Southbridge, <strong>and</strong> Juan<br />

Gonzalez of Springfield.<br />

He was also the brother of the late<br />

Segundo <strong>and</strong> Guillermo Gonzalez.<br />

He was born in Manati, Puerto Rico, <strong>and</strong><br />

was the son of the late Gregorio <strong>and</strong><br />

CHANDLER, Ariz. — Mark Piette, 53,<br />

died suddenly Saturday, April 3, at his<br />

home after being stricken ill.<br />

He leaves his wife <strong>and</strong> best friend of 22<br />

years, Mary (Jakubowski) Piette; his sisterin-law,<br />

Jeanne Thomay, <strong>and</strong> her husb<strong>and</strong><br />

Frank of Hingham; a brother-in-law,<br />

Ronald Jakubowski <strong>and</strong> his wife Mary of<br />

Dudley; several nieces <strong>and</strong> nephews.<br />

He was born in <strong>Webster</strong>, the son of the<br />

late Roger <strong>and</strong> the late Janet (Cournoyer)<br />

Piette. He graduated from Bartlett High<br />

School in 1975 <strong>and</strong> received his teaching<br />

degree from Worcester State College. He<br />

lived most all his life in <strong>Webster</strong> before<br />

moving to Ch<strong>and</strong>ler last year.<br />

OXFORD — Rita A. (Latino) Smith, 84, of<br />

Carey Lane, died Tuesday, April 6, in her<br />

home after a long illness.<br />

She is survived by her husb<strong>and</strong><br />

of 63 years, George A.<br />

Karen V. Szufat <strong>and</strong><br />

her husb<strong>and</strong> Luke of<br />

Worcester, <strong>and</strong> Stephen A.<br />

WEBSTER — Theodore William Govina,<br />

80, a veteran of the Korean War, died in<br />

spiritual fellowship <strong>and</strong> union with Christ<br />

on Resurrection Sunday, April 4.<br />

A graduate of The School of the<br />

Worcester Art Museum in 1955, Ted pursued<br />

an art career in all fields of commercial<br />

<strong>and</strong> fine arts.<br />

He worked at Cranston Print for several years<br />

then working for Carpenters Local 107 in the<br />

construction field. He was a member of the<br />

<strong>Webster</strong>-Dudley American Legion, DAV, Sons<br />

of Italy <strong>and</strong> Carpenters Union 107.<br />

The funeral will be held Friday, April 9,<br />

from the Shaw-Majercik Funeral Home, 48<br />

School St., <strong>Webster</strong>, with a Mass Saint Louis<br />

Church, Lake Street, <strong>Webster</strong>. Burial, with<br />

military honors, was in Calvary Cemetery,<br />

Dudley.<br />

Lino worked at Hyde Tool Manufacturing<br />

He was an avid runner, <strong>and</strong> participated<br />

in marathons <strong>and</strong> local road races. He also<br />

enjoyed the sport of boxing <strong>and</strong> drawing<br />

was one of his hobbies.<br />

His funeral was held Friday, April 9, from<br />

the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130<br />

Hamilton St., with a Mass in St. Mary’s<br />

Church, 263 Hamilton St. Burial followed in<br />

St. Mary’s Cemetery.<br />

held Thursday, April 8.<br />

He also enjoyed the company of his faithful<br />

companion “Penny.”<br />

Roch’s Church in Oxford. She enjoyed bowling<br />

<strong>and</strong> dancing, <strong>and</strong> especially enjoyed<br />

square dancing. She belonged to the Nite<br />

Owls Square Dancing Group with her husb<strong>and</strong><br />

many years ago.<br />

38, died Wednesday, April 7.<br />

He leaves his wife <strong>and</strong> soul mate of 19<br />

years, Shannon Sisco; a daughter, Ashley; a<br />

son, Joseph; his mother, Carol Zimmerman<br />

of Winter Haven, Fla.; three sisters,<br />

Christine Patchen, Brenda Wood <strong>and</strong><br />

Am<strong>and</strong>a Gilbert; five brothers-in-law, Joel<br />

<strong>and</strong> Mike Sisco, Harley, Zach <strong>and</strong> Nick<br />

Patchen; a sister-in-law, Shawna Sisco;<br />

many nieces <strong>and</strong> nephews.<br />

Ted is survived by his wife <strong>and</strong> two sons.<br />

Paul was an amazing Dad <strong>and</strong> loved<br />

spending time with his children. He enjoyed<br />

playing softball, basketball <strong>and</strong> golf. He was<br />

an avid Red Sox fan. He is loved <strong>and</strong> will be<br />

sadly missed by all who knew him.<br />
