PRESIDENT’S COMMENT Terry Calvert Not only doesThe Fellowship have a new President but as a country we now have a new government which will hopefully see a change in our economy too! Hi everyone and welcome to the 2nd issue of the new Fellowship Magazine (FM). So, not only does the Fellowship have a new President but as a country we now have a new government which will hopefully see a change in our economy too! We’ve got an event filled magazine with our editor and roving reporters sharing all the exciting educational and creative events like the F.A.M.E. Team’s first stage show and day with Angelo Seminara. Interviews with the Fellowship Award winning Metropolis salon, Estetica’s Gary Kelly and my very own Vice President, Bruno Marc Giamattei, plus loads more! You can also read about my Power Night which I enjoyed doing – for those of you who were there on the night – I hope you enjoyed it too! the interview president’s Terry Calvert interviews the new Vice President – Bruno Marc Giamattei As President of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, I’ve created a series of interviews with members of the Fellowship Council as I feel that it is important to introduce fellow members to the team that make the Fellowship tick. As new to all the regalia is me – is my brand new Vice President – Bruno Marc Giamattei. Bruno shares this role with Mark Creed who I will be interviewing in our next issue. TC Bruno as my new Vice President, what does that mean to you? BG It was a surprise, came totally out of the blue – but a role that I accept and will undertake to the best of my ability. To be elected into this role is indeed an honour – doesn’t it also kind of measure my popularity?! If so – I will have to make sure I don’t get too big for my boots! TC You have been a member of The Fellowship for 12 years, but recently you’ve become more active on the council and now F.A.M.E. Team manager. How are you finding this role? BG Would have loved a job description prior to my acceptance of the role – having said that – hand on heart, I’m enjoying it – and I’m learning a lot too! These guys have such a fabulous fabulous opportunity – it’s amazing – I thought we’d be out and about at least once a month but more often than not it’s once a week – so it’s a lot of time and commitment on everyone’s part. They are still young and they need guidance so they need my constant support and amazing organisational skills! Seriously though – we are only in May – and they’ve already done a shoot with Andrew O’Toole, they have an Art Director for the year who is the highly credible Errol Douglas MBE, at the end of the ‘phone, had days with Tim Hartley, WWW.FELLOWSHIPHAIR.COM 2 WWW.CLUBSTARHAIR.CO.UK
