the war <strong>an</strong>d its conduct. Leaked by a serving US soldier, assembled in secrecy<br />
by Wikileaks <strong>an</strong>d reported in the Guardi<strong>an</strong> on 26 July 2010, the documents<br />
revealed the true scale of the Talib<strong>an</strong> insurgency, <strong>an</strong>d the extent of civili<strong>an</strong><br />
casualties caused by the Talib<strong>an</strong> <strong>an</strong>d NATO forces both as the conflict<br />
continued in the late 2000s.<br />
