4 What’s the Vision? Why do a Year of Prayer? Imagine -‐ A year of unbroken prayer to bringing unity, reconciliation, connecting churches and prayer networks, making commitments, seeking breakthroughs, and waiting on God to answer our prayers and reset our priorities! Luke 18:7 (ISV) “Won't God grant his chosen people justice when they cry out to him day and night? Is he slow to help them?” • Unity. Unity in prayer, for the sake of advocacy, justice and mission is powerful and transformational. Bringing very different people, churches, denominations and prayer networks together, experiencing ‘togetherness’ in prayer together with our worldwide family who have risked running 24-‐7 Prayer Rooms. IMAGINE, a year of 24-‐7 Prayer Rooms, across the nation, connecting individual churches/groups together, fusing the ‘local’ 24-‐7 Prayer Room activity with a greater initiative and identity; • Commitment. God honours serious commitment to prayer. A long period of prayer – especially so if this is for one year is not just an activity or a program, but a serious commitment and will be costly; • Peacebuilding. We believe that putting in a sustained period of prayer for this nation will bring about the turning point to the nation for peace and reconciliation as we grapple with injustice, asset grabbing and a disunited church and nation; • Waiting on Him. God wants us to take time off and to wait on Him. Let us set aside everything and take time off from our busy-‐ness and put energy into the things that matter to Him; to be still, seek His will to be done, and His kingdom to come; • New priorities. Just a glance at the church across the world will reveal this new priority for prayer and action. Let God reset and reshape our priorities to glorify our Lord Jesus Christ and lift His name up high over the nation.

And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” WDOP 2012 to focus on Malaysia! Malaysia ushers in the Year of Jubilee! 13 th General Elections On 2 nd March 2012, all nations and members of the World Council of Churches will unite in solidarity in a World Day of Prayer to pray for Malaysia, using a common liturgy, with the theme “Let Justice Prevail”! Malaysian churches will be praying in solidarity on 3 rd March 2012. Malaysia came into being on September 16, 1963 when Sabah and Sarawak came together with Malaya to form the new nation. On September 16, 2012 Malaysia ushers in the beginning of its 50 th year! Malaysia’s General Elections are just around the corner! We need to soak the country in prayer to raise righteous leaders and bring justice back to the nation. Call to Justice The clarion call for justice is screaming loud from all Malaysians, not just the Christian community. Malaysia needs prayer like never before!
