Only students in Year 13 would usually be
considered for this award.
Caps
Caps may be awarded to students involved
in Soccer, Senior Rowing, Cricket, Hockey and
Rugby teams. The awards are made at the
discretion of the coach, but will generally reflect
outstanding achievement in the particular sport,
and the length of time a player has been in the
team. Caps are awarded throughout the year.
First XI Cricket Caps – awarded at the
discretion of the First XI Cricket coach. In
general terms recipients will have played a
minimum of 15 games and reached the following
performance standard:
• Batting – two scores of greater than 50.
• Bowling – two bags of 4 or more wickets.
• Wicket-keeping – in the opinion of the Coach
and Manager have kept wicket to a high
standard for one season.
• All-rounders – can gain credit towards the
award of a cap by performing well with both
bat and ball. For example one score of 50 and
one 4 wicket bag will qualify.
First XI Football Caps – awarded at the
discretion of the First XI Football coach. In
general terms recipients will have met and
consistently displayed the following attributes:
• Skills and talent at an outstanding level.
• Contribution to team spirit.
• Service and commitment to the team.
• Passion for football.
• Played a minimum of 20 games in a starting
position.
First XV Rugby Caps – awarded at the
discretion of the First XV Rugby coach. In
general terms recipients will have met and
consistently displayed the following attributes:
• Skills and talent at an outstanding level.
• Contribution to team spirit.
• Service and commitment to the team.
• Passion for rugby.
• Played a minimum of 20 games in a starting
position.
Rowing Caps – awarded at the discretion of
the Senior Rowing coach. In general terms
the recipients will have displayed the following
attributes:
• Outstanding achievement such as a finalist at
any of the major regattas.
• Regular crew member in the school premier
rowing team(s).
• Service and commitment to the club and
team.
• Rowed for a minimum of 3 full seasons.
First XI Hockey Caps – awarded at the
discretion of the First XI Hockey coach. In
general terms recipients will have met and
consistently displayed the following attributes:
• Skills and talent at an outstanding level.
• Contribution to team spirit.
• Service and commitment to the team.
• Passion for hockey.
• Played a minimum of 35 games in a starting
position
Persequor Ominus Sumus
Presented in recognition of excellence in
the chosen sport(s) of the recipient and the
contribution he/she has made to the success of
others in reaching their potential in that or any
other sport.
The Director of Sport Cup
Awarded to the most outstanding team of the
year.
Cole Cup for Outstanding Individual
Performance
For outstanding achievement in an individual’s
chosen sport.
