Update
It’s been a very busy year for Sudbourne’s governing body:

In the autumn we elected Cynthia Winifred and Ben Tunstall to be our Chair and Vice-
Chair respectively.
We interviewed for the vacant Deputy Head position and appointed Sophia Henderson,
who was previously Acting Deputy Head.
In the spring we consulted you about the possibility of Sudbourne becoming an academy
- you told us you didn’t want that and we decided not to follow it any further.
Ingrid Holmes was elected Parent Governor unopposed.
Now we are working with Lambeth to explore the possibility of Sudbourne doubling in
size.
At the same time we’ve been working as usual with the school’s leadership team to
monitor the success of Sudbourne and to set challenging goals for the future.
Parent Questionnaires
Thank you to everyone who filled in a questionnaire last term. The winner of the £50

everyone who responded likes having a termly report
97% now think Sudbourne is led and managed well. Up from 82% last year
more of you feel well informed about how your child is getting on than in previous years,
although there are still nearly 10% who don’t
slightly fewer (45% compared to 52% last year) strongly agree your child is making good
progress, although overall more of you agree
This information will feed into the school’s plans for the coming year and will be in our
minds as we look at the direction Sudbourne will take in the future.
It’s great to have such a positive response, but if we’re to keep improving we’re going to have
to look even harder at what we’re doing. If you have any general comments about the direction
