Friday 21st December: End of Term 2. School ends at 2:00pm
Monday 7th January: School closed to children Staff INSET Day.
Tuesday 8th January: Children return to school for Term 3.
Tuesday 15th January: Deadline for applying to Lambeth Admissions for a place in the
Reception Class for September 2013.
Thursday 17th January: SCHOOL CLOSED FOR POLLING DAY.
Friday 18th January 9:30-11:00am, Jubliee School: Welfare Reform and Training and
Employment Advice for ALL Lambeth residents.

We are very happy to announce that Mrs Lynch has given birth to twins, Lara and Thomas. Mother and babies are
doing fine.
THANK YOU!
A huge thank you to our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) pupils and staff for their wonderful
Christmas Performance. They were absolutely brilliant! Thank you too, to all the parents/carers who
came to watch the production. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.
Thank you also to everyone who made a donation for their programme at the Christmas productions.
We raised £122.79 for the school.
A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE PTA FOR THE CHILDREN’S MINI FAIR
Thank you so much to all the volunteers who helped organise this wonderful event which the children
enjoyed so much. Special thanks though must go to Stela Gildea (Jessie’s mum) who has been
instrumental in making this happen every year. We are so grateful for all her hard work and
dedication over the years. An amazing £483 was raised which is a great achievement as all the gifts
were generous donations from parents/carers. It’s Jessie’s final year at Sudbourne and so this was
Stela’s last Children’s Mini Fair. We do hope that the Children’s Mini Fair will continue and that there
will be other volunteers to keep this wonderful tradition going as it is such a beautiful way for our
children to buy very affordable presents for their friends and family.

DADS INTO SCHOOL WINTER WONDERLAND SPECIAL
Thank you to everyone who came to the Dads Into School on Wednesday and who contributed into making it
such a special occasion which was enjoyed by the children.
RECEPTION PLACES FOR SEPTEMBER 2013 – FOR CHILDREN BORN BETWEEN 1
SEPTEMBER 2008 AND 31 AUGUST 2009
If your child was born between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009, it is very important that
you apply to Lambeth Admissions for a Reception place by Tuesday 15 th January 2013. The
Lambeth booklet ‘Starting Primary School in Lambeth 2013/2014,’ which contains a Common
Application Form, together with a covering letter was distributed some time ago to all parents/
carers of Nursery children. There is no automatic entry from Nursery to Reception. Please
note that all policies and decisions on Reception places are made by Lambeth.
CALENDARS
There are only a few calendars left so please make sure that you don’t miss out! They make lovely
Christmas presents. £5 each or 3 for £12.

FUNKY MONKEY
Funky Monkey Keyboard Classes have a brand new class to fill on Mondays 3.15-4pm starting
Monday 14th January with Victoria. Our popular group music class teaches the electronic keyboard
as well as how to read and write music. Brilliant for 5-8 year old beginners who want to learn music

BRIXTON MARKET
This Saturday on Brixton Station road sees our penultimate Christmas market followed by one on
Christmas Eve.
Come and join us and discover Brixton's most talented makers of craft, art, cakes and clothes
making, alongside vintage and retro collectables.
A wonderful opportunity to buy unusual and unique presents this Christmas whilst supporting the
community. Also featuring the I Love Markets photo booth.... Dress up in clothes and props
provided then get your photo taken for silliness and laughs this festive season! A poster has been
displayed on the school noticeboard.
