Domaine de La Pousse d’Or
A famous old domaine in Burgundy that has been revitalized since changing ownership in 1997. Owned by Patrick
Landanger, Domaine de la Pousse d'Or stands as one of the most recognized names in Volnay. Originally called
Bousse d'Or in the 18th Century - which translates as 'golden earth'; the domaine is located a few miles from
Beaune, and the 13 hectares of vineyards are spread among the communes of Volnay, Pommard and Santenay.
Impressively there are three Premier Cru Volnays from privately owned vineyards: 'Clos de la Bousse d'Or', 'Clos
des 60-Ouvrees' and 'Clos l'Audignac'. This is the epitome of fine Pinot Noir.

A plot of 17 “ouvrées” (0.727 ha.) which produces some 3,500 bottles a year. It is known for its stylish whites of great purity
and delicacy.

FPSR01 Volnay 1 er Cru Clos de la Bousse d’Or 2006 « Monopole »
This single-owner plot of 2.14 ha. produces some 9,300 bottle per year. The wine is reminiscent of both Volnay and
Pommard. Its subtle and delicate perfume makes it typical of the Côte de Beaune. Outstanding for its complexity and
refinement.
FPSR02 Volnay 1 er Cru Clos des 60 Ouvrees 2006 « Monopole »
An area of 2.39 ha, in traditional measurement around 60 "ouvrées" with a yield of 11,000 bottles. This magnificent wine,
powerful and highly-bred, ranks with Burgundy's greatest. It takes time to reach its fullest flowering and is at its best only
after several years.
FPSR03 Volnay 1 er Cru en Caillerets 2004
Claude Courtépée, the 18th-century Dijon historian wrote, “Whoever has no vines in Caillerets cannot know the value of
Volnay.” These 2.27 ha. of vines with an average annual yield of 10,000 bottles produce a highly-bred and elegant wine
which can attain rapid maturity.
FPSR04 Pommard 1 er Cru Jarollorieres 2006
The vineyard is situated on the borders of the commune of Volnay next to the famous climate Les Rugiens. An area of
1.44 ha. produces some 7,000 bottles a year. The wine is powerful and full-tasting, rich in colour and in tannin. The better
vintages need long ageing to attain their wonderful best.
FPSR06 Corton Bressandes Grand Cru 2004
This 0.48 ha. plot of red earth combines a power and delicacy which come from the soil. It yields 1,500 bottles of a grand
cru with aromas of ripe fruit enhanced by a touch of spice. The mouth is full, generous and rich, the body superbly
concentrated and cloaked in well-melted tannins.
FPSR05 Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru 2004
A 1.5 ha. plot of white soil which produces well-built red wines which, with age, develop wild animal notes. Yield is around
4,000 bottles per year.
