2005 Estimated Water Use Report
NOTES:
The totals for Gross Use, Population Served, and Unadjusted Gross Per Capita listed in Table A-2 will not match those listed in Table A-1. This is because not all of the permittees are
listed in Table A-2, either they have never submitted Form B or the information from previous years' reports is outdated.
(mgd) = million gallons per day
(!) Form B, "Type of Water Use" of the Public Supply Permittee Survey was not received. Data was derived from previous years' reports.
(1) Gross Use is taken directly from Table A-1, column 10, and represents the total amount of water withdrawn plus imports minus exports and treatment loss.
(2) Percent of water supplied that is used for residential purposes only.
(3) Percent of water supplied that is used for industrial/commercial purposes only.
(4) Percent of water supplied that is used for mining/dewatering purposes only.
(5) Percent of water supplied that is used for agricultural purposes only.
(6) Percent of water supplied that is used for recreational/aesthetic purposes only.
(7) Percent of water supplied that is used for fire fighting, line flushing, and other accountable purposes only.
(8) Percent of water supplied that is unaccounted for due to system leaks, illegal connections, etc.
(9) Residential Use = (gross Use) X (% residential). This number represents the total amount of water that is used for residential purposes only.
(10) Population Served is taken directly from Table A-1, column 11, and represents the service area population for the permittee listed.
(11) Residential per capita = (residential water use) / (population). This number represents the average quantity of water used per person per day for residential purposes only.
(12) Unadjusted Gross per capita = (gross use) / (population served). This number represents the average quantity of water used per person per day for any purpose (including
agricultural, industrial, etc.).
(13) I/C Use (Industrial/Commercial Water Use) = (gross use) X (% I/C). This number represents the amount of water that is supplied for industrial/commercial purposes only.
(14) UAW Use (Unaccounted For Water Use) = (gross use) X (% UAW). This number represents the amount of water that is unaccounted for each day by the permittee listed.
"SYSTEM" denotes water transferred within the central system of Tampa Bay Water.
* : This denotes that only a portion of the export goes to the utility indicated, the rest is supplied to small public utilities that are not listed in this table.
**: Imported and exported water quantities are not equal due to loss during transport through the system, reporting differences from water suppliers, and transfers between the
Tampa Bay Water "SYSTEM" including quantities transferred to the C.W. Bill Young Regional Reservoir (35.198 mgd). Filling of the Reservoir began in March 2005 and was completed in
November 2005.
Note: These quantities were supplied to the Southwest Florida Water Management District by each individual permittee listed.
