Magic Workshop (Ages 8-12)
Come and join our professional magician,
The Great Brad for this five-week workshop.
Our magician will help your child(ren)
explore the wonderful world of magic. Students
will learn tricks each week that can
be easily performed for their peers and
family members. New and different activities
will be introduced each session so that
your child can participate more than once
without duplication. Register now before

Science Discovery (Ages 8-12)
Come explore areas of science that you
may not get in school. There will be handson
experiments and discovery activities
selected from the exciting world of science
that will create long lasting impressions and
foster a passion with supervised activities
such as soda pop eruptions, playing with
various polymers, cool experiments using
gravity, balance, buoyancy, and more. Instructor
is a professional chemist with over
5 decades of analytical research experience.
Wear clothing that can get messy! All
safety equipment will be provided. There is
a $10 supply fee payable at the first class.
Although it is not necessary, parents are

Tennis Lessons
2012 SELREC tennis lessons will be offered at Brush High School. Court assignments will
be based on the participants’ ages and level abilities. Please be considerate and adhere to
the age guidelines listed here. All players must provide their own racquet, wear proper attire
& tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle each day. Fridays will be our rain make-up
days. Lessons are three weeks long and offered either twice or four times each week.
Beginners Tennis Lessons:
(Ages 4-18) 9:00-10:00 am
For players who are new to tennis, emphasis
on good coordination. Participants will
get an introduction to forehand, backhand,
serving, and scorekeeping.

For those already familiar with basic skills,
scorekeeping and rules of the game.
Designed to improve control on ground
strokes, introduce the transition game and
work on continental grip skills. Learn how
to hit spin serves and get an introduction to
doubles formation and strategy.

ball competitive drilling focusing on finer

shots, hitting on the rise, etc.

Youth Theater Workshop (Ages 8-12)
This youth theater program is a fun introduction
to the theater where each student
will act, sing and dance in a big variety
show performed for family and friends on
the last day of each session. Students in
this program will participate in a variety of
interactive theater games over the course
of the five week session. New and different
activities will be introduced each session
so that your child can participate more than
once without duplication.
